Clara's Tea Party - *The Nutcracker* Bass Performance Hall Fort Worth

Rent My Dust is always a bit behind in their blog posts but nothing could defer us from blogging about Clara's Tea Party by the Texas Ballet Theater.  Nothing gets us ready for the holidays better than the production of The Nutcracker.  The story of Clara's magical nutcracker, waltzing flowers and dancing snowflakes has been captivating children for more than a century.  To celebrate the season,  An Afternoon With Clara is hosted by Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.   The children join Clara and other characters from The Nutcracker for a fairy tale tea party.  Parents and children enjoy scrumptious tea sandwiches, scones, tea, cocoa and sweets.  The Sugar Plum Fairy will make an appearance for photos and each child will receive a pointe shoe expressly signed by a beautiful ballerina.  The photographer was none other than Andy Keye + Whitney Photography.  Rent My Dust's pink Priscilla sofa was there and we want to share with you just a few of those photos.

Southern Tea Party Vintage Bridal Styled Shoot

Southern Tea Party Vintage Styled Shoot re-visited!  A couple of years ago we did this sweet Southern styled Bridal shoot which has always been one of our favorite things.    So many wondered vintage details!!  So many of our cool props were used.  Such great times with great vendors!  It was featured on Style Unveiled.  The original blog post is below.  Hope you enjoy!

"We meet the amazing Lottie Fowler from Couture Events by Lottie and she ask if we would be interested in doing a photo shoot with her at this amazing home in historic district of downtown Grapevine. Since I was born and raised in Grapevine, I jumped at the idea. Then I drove by the house and it was so magical that I just knew it would be an amazing shoot. Designed by Couture Events by Lottie and photographed by Catie Ronquillo, the setting was envisioned for a high class tea party with a southern twist. A Texan Marie Antoinette feel.  The backdrop adorned with a vintage, turquoise Shasta camper, and sweet details such as hankies strung as a banner, old hat boxes, chandeliers hanging amongst the trees and floating paper flowers in hanging frames.  The attention to detail was exquisite, from the lovely broaches fastened to the linen napkins, vintage piano music sheets to the wonderful signage provided by Southern Fried Paper. The fabulous treats consisted of cake balls, petit fours, whoopee pies and mini cupcakes. And don’t fail to notice that fabulous vintage stove provided by the lovely Rent My Dust."
